I was writing dialogue for my character, Ms. Pearly. Ms. Pearly is a feisty old with a mouth like a sailor in heat. I had to choose my words very carefully. While flipping through various thesauri, dictionaries and roaming the web, I couldn't find what I needed. So, I created it.
I started making a list of all the words I knew. What started out as a simple hobby, became an obsession. I noted titles from ground breaking hilarious films, rhymes that provided reasons and salacious headlines. I listened to what he called her. I overhead she called the girl in the skimpy outfit. I answered pop cultures questions.
"This is hilarious! Are these terms that women are using? I’m wondering if there’s more of this. Thanks for the laughs.” ~ Maverk13
"Great concept! I do like the pop cultures mentions here and I am already familiar with the Sex and the City entries. I love the hasbian. Has not heard or read that one anywhere. Really love that! Overall, this is a very cute and comical piece.” ~Im1grlegrl

I had a ball writing this. I would love to know what the writers of the world think. Not to mention students majoring in Women Studies programs.
